Gujarat Titans have strengthened their coaching lineup for the IPL 2026 season by bringing in former Australian opener Matthew Hayden as their new batting coach. The move signals the franchise’s intent to sharpen its batting strategy and add more experience to the dressing room.
Hayden, known for his aggressive batting and fearless approach during his playing career, replaces the outgoing coaching setup and will work closely with captain Shubman Gill and the Titans’ top order.
In recent years, Hayden has remained closely connected with the T20 circuit, serving as a mentor for Pakistan and regularly appearing as a commentator in the IPL. His experience in high-pressure tournaments is expected to help Gujarat Titans develop a stronger and more consistent batting unit.
Team officials believe Hayden’s winning mindset and international experience will play a key role in shaping the team’s approach as they prepare for the upcoming season.
