A New Era for Pakistan Cricket: PSL 2026 Expansion
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the schedule and structure for the much-awaited 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026). This season promises to be historic, as the league will run from March 26 to May 3 and introduce some of the biggest changes since the tournament began in 2016.
For the first time in PSL history, the competition will feature eight franchises instead of the traditional six. Two new teams — the Sialkot Stallionz and Hyderabad Kingsmen — will join the league, adding fresh rivalries and excitement for fans across Pakistan.
Another major change this season is the introduction of a player auction system. The PCB has replaced the previous draft format, allowing franchises to compete financially to secure top international and domestic talent.

The PSL 2026 tournament will be played across six stadiums. Alongside regular host cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi, matches will also be held in Faisalabad (Iqbal Stadium) and Peshawar (Imran Khan Cricket Stadium), bringing PSL cricket to more fans around the country.
