Wesley Barresi started playing first-class cricket for South Africa and represented the Eastern Cricket club at Under-15, Under-19 and Under-23 level before debuting in first-class games against the Titans in 2003. He had a fantastic first-class debut scoring 57.
A few years later, Barresi made his international debut for Netherlands. He played his first ODI against Scotland in July 2010 and scored 35. It was not long before, he started doubling up as a wicketkeeper and proved adept behind the stumps. Barressi hit his maiden ODI ton in January 2014, a scintillating 137 that helped Netherlands pile on 265 in their 50 overs. Unfortunately, poor bowling from his team-mates saw Kenya thrashing Netherlands and achieving a superb win.
